Our Strategy
Work with the local community
CWB engages active actors in the community to participate in solving their needs. CWB believes that the community is the beginning and the target and no sustainable solutions are achieved unless interventions are tailored to address the needs and aspirations of the community while the latter takes full ownership
Develop inclusive models
CWB works to install at local level context-based models to introduce communities to change mechanisms addressing their socio-economic needs. Models should be replicable by other actors and respects the principles of sustainable development by working to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Promote social enterprises
To prove the sustainability of inclusive models, CWB installs social enterprises providing services addressing the main socio-economic needs of the community. This approach is designed to activate value chains or answer market needs and provide youth and entrepreneurs examples of viable businesses that could be replicated to activate local economies
Scaling-up innovation
CWB conducts tailored monitoring and evaluation to learn from the field work and documents lessons learned to prepare the ground for scaling-up innovations that were tested under the inclusive models and social enterprises
